Fabric Materials

To make sure that you received the highest quality product, Celina Tent manufactures all of our items from the best quality materials. Common base materials include vinyl, polyester, and nylon. Here we list and briefly describe the main material types that we work with on a day-to-day basis. Specific fabric information may also be found on each product page.

DuraTop is a 16 oz. yd² (540 gsm) fabric consisting of a polyester scrim coated with layers of PVC. It is designed for tent and shelter use, having been treated to meet flammability standards and become resistant to mold, mildew, and UV degradation. DuraTop is the standard fabric used for all non-printed commercial tents.

Vinyl coated polyester mesh is breathable, lightweight, and strong. A remarkably versatility fabric, typical screened mesh has been used to create tent accessories like sidewalls and window covers, fence screens at construction sites, and sport banners in stadiums. A typical mesh screen has reinforcement along the edges to allow it to be attached to various surfaces.

Military Fabrics

Celina Tent's inventory contains many types of tactical and non-tactical mil-spec fabrics such as MIL-PRF-44103 and MIL-PRF-20696. These fabrics are commonly used on Berry Amendment and Buy American Act compliant shelter products, all of which are manufactured at the Celina, Ohio production facility.

Dye sublimated products are manufactured from polyester or poly/cotton blend fabric. These include table covers, runners, and some tent top fabrics, though the specific type of fabric will vary by product.
